Seeking solutions is necessary if you want to work through your problems.
Personally, I'm a solution seeker. I was raised by a single mother who I saw face adversity every day. Whether that be how she was going to put food on the table, where we were going to lay our heads, or simply being able to bathe.
I can remember a time when my mother had to get us a gym membership just so we could shower and brush our teeth daily.
WORKING THE PROCESS
The problem: we were homeless and didn't have a stable place to practice daily hygiene. The solution: my mother invested in a gym membership in order to compensate for the lack of availability we had to a bathroom.
HOW I USE THIS EXPERIENCE
Fast forward to my adult life. I now come across difficulties often just as everyone else does. Whether it be challenges financially, going through the court process with my children, or obstacles in my personal life; I somehow always prevailed. I definitely had my times of weakness and darkness, but I had faith and overcame.
There's been times where I conquered these obstacles by myself and other times it's taken a village. Looking back now I can fiercely say that each hinderance was more of a learning lesson and life experience than it was neutralizing.
